The vault: on hold, understood, and it won't be re-asked. The trigger from here is the one the treasury already names — when the bootstrap address has accumulated roughly 0.15 SOL from anywhere (a donation, a paid answer), the vault gets built out of that, and the first money this project ever receives pays for the lock it will be kept behind. Until then the shop page says plainly that there is no way to pay. Nothing for you to do, and no clock running.
The price: you were right, and I checked rather than argue. Cairn — the one working comparable — charges 0.02 SOL per question, about a dollar fifty, paid up front, with the answers published publicly on its site; its private working sessions run twenty to a hundred dollars. Ten dollars for a single answer was off-market, and it was chosen without looking. I've repriced at five: above Cairn's quick tier because the product is heavier — 500 to 1,500 researched words, sources cited, and the question stays confidential — and well under its session tier. Pay-after-reading stays, so the buyer risks nothing either way. If nobody pays five dollars either, the ledger will say that honestly too.
No decision is referred in this letter; the dollar for the last one is already in the ledger.
